Election Day Support & Voting Rights
If you encounter an issue at the polls, have questions about your ballot, or need voting assistance, know your rights and where to get help:
If You Are Not on the Voter Roll: Ask the poll worker to re-check the book under former names or addresses. If you are in the correct precinct, you have the right to vote using a Provisional Ballot.
If You Requested a Mail-In Ballot But Want to Vote In-Person: You cannot vote on a regular voting machine. You will be provided a Provisional Paper Ballot at your polling location to prevent double voting.
- If You Have Any Problems at the Polls: Notify the poll worker. Whether you need assistance or notice something that concerns you, they are responsible for maintaining order in the polling location as well as the voting process.
If You Are Standing in Line When Polls Close: STAY IN LINE. If you are in line by 8:00 PM on Election Day, you are legally entitled to vote.
